Notre-Dame de Fourvière

At night, the Basilique Notre-Dame de Fourvière is lit with mellow yellow light that beams down onto the French city of Lyon. Sitting like a fortress on Fourvière Hill, its Byzantine Revival architecture catches every beam. This is the main entrance, at the back of the building, viewed from below.

For Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge – view from back, bottom or underneath.

The next two are public domain images, to give you an idea of the beauty of this basilica.

  1. Ahh! Lyon is a wonderful place with great architecture to capture. Did you try the restaurant next to the church with great view of Lyon?

Something to say?
